13-03-2009 (Friday)

Today is the first day of our trip to the “Three Gorges”… We got to wake up at 6am in order to meet the rest at 7.20am… Though there some of us coming in late, we still continued our journey smoothly at 7.30am… At the beginning, the tour guide tried to introduce himself but we are all very tired so we were like half awake and while he were talking to us… After all, he managed to introduce himself and he is called “Xiao Yang”… After that we continued to have our beauty sleep… We did not notice much about outside scenery… It was actually very beautiful…

At 9 in the morning, we waited at the resting point for a while to wait for another group of Ngee Ann students who were also like us coming here to study and then went back to Singapore… Once they reach at the resting point, we immediately went off for our journey to the Three Gorges… The whole journey took about 4hours as we got to travel from Wuhan all the way to YiChang… It was pretty a long journey…

At about 12 noon, we managed to reach YiChang… Once we reached there we got to pick up a local tour guide then we went to have our lunch at a restaurant called “Yan Fei”… After lunch, we went to see the project of the Three Gorges before we took the cruise to the Three Gorges…

We spent another 4 hours to the project of the Three Gorges… We were being introduced on how the water dam was being built, what the history of the water dam, how are they being operate…

The most curious things are that there actually 5 gates to transport cruise up and down… Each waiting time is about 1 to 2 hours and got to depend on the water current… After the tour, we went to have our dinner which was at about 6pm… At that time, we suppose to board the cruise but we were late so we got to finish our meals fast and quickly board the cruise… Once we board the cruise, they immediately start the boat… We do not even have a chance to catch up with our breath… We went back to our room to put our things, keys were being distributed by the tour guide and then we rest till tomorrow morning…
I observed that the place was very beautiful especially when we drove by the farming area… The surrounding was covered with yellow flowers and there a pool of water which was used for farming was like so fresh… I wonder if we could find more places which were even nicer than what we see now… I am very envy with all those surroundings; it makes a person very peaceful… The next observation I going to make is to look for nice place like what I have saw on the way to the YiChang…
