15-03-2009 (Sunday)

Today was the last day of our journey of the Three Gorges… We have to wake up early in the morning about 5plus to wash up and brush our teeth… At 6plus, we were being called to proceed to Level 3 to have our breakfast but our actual one was at 7am…

By the time we went to have our breakfast, we were told to hurry up as we got to check out at 7.30am as the rest of the passengers in the cruise have to proceed to the gate… If they are late, they got to wait for 2-3hours till the next gate will open… We hurry finished up our breakfast then we head back to our room to pick up our luggage… By 7.30am, we were all waiting at the main hall for everyone so that we can proceed to get the shutter bus…

The journey took us about 1 hour to reach YiChang as we going to use the expressway specially for the Three Gorges if not we will take about 3hours to reach YiChang… After the expressway, we went to a petrol station to top up the fuel, at the same time we were told to go to the toilet if not the next stop will be about 2 hours later…

During the 2 hours journey, we took about half an hour to buy some snacks home for our family… At first we not even want to buy but after trying we taste that the biscuit were not so bad and some of us just bought it…
Then, we continued with our journey to Yichang and further on to Wuhan… The whole journey again took us about 4 hours… We were once again very tired and slept through the whole journey… When we are reaching, our tour guide wakes us up… Given us a very touching speech…

Though we did not commented much on him, overall we appreciated him for his good service to us… He really a very good tour guide… When we reached WUST, we immediately went to Canteen 2 to have our lunch… We do really miss all the good foods that were being served in the canteen compared to those served in the cruise…

After lunch, we went back to our room to rot ourselves till about 7plus then we went out to have our dinner…

Once again, we have the fish balls… We did not order much with just a steamboat of fish balls and some side dishes… After the meals, it cost us about 100 Yuan… Then we take a short stroll back to the school before that we went to buy some groceries at the super mart nearby and some bread for supper…

When we are done, we went back to the dorm… At 9.30pm, we have a short brief on the activity tomorrow…After that, we called it a day and went back to our room to rush all the work that needed to be submitted…
The tour guide that we used to have normally come with one… Yet, down here in Hubei, we have 2 tour guides… Both came from two different towns… One from Wuhan, the other from YiChang… From my experience, wherever we go, there always one tour guide followed us from morning till night… My conclusion is that because they are from different towns and so they do not really knows one another culture and the places that they are bringing us there and so there are total 2 tour guides that were needed for the tour… The next observation is to observe how the tour guides are being able to communicate with one another… Are they from the same company?
