Today we suppose to have our APPG lesson but suddenly we went for an industry visit about steel… We will have to wake up very early so that we are able to meet at 7.20am… Yet, still we were late for it about 5 minutes… We board the bus, after that then we realized that there was a shortage of seats… Few of us got to sit on one another lap…
The journey took us about 1 hour or less to reach the destination… When we reached the destination, we realized that it was not straight to the industry… We got to first meet up with another group then we set off to the destination… The destination was quite far away from both schools… We have to travel about 1½ hours to reach the destination… Before that, we stop for a while to collect some passes and also 2 aunties to follow up today’s programme…
They will somehow explain to us the process of how steel is made… When we reached the industry, the place was so hot… Almost got a heatstroke… The temperature inside was so hot that even if you put an egg at there, it can be cooked too…
Firstly, we know that the steels were being heated up in the oven…
Secondly, when it is ready, it were being taken out by rollers and being splashed water under the high pressure water unit…
After cooling down, it were being taken to a machine called the Roll Coiler, which were used to coil up the steel after it have cooled down…
After which, we went back to the bus and head back to school… When we reached our bus, we were told that afternoon lesson will be brought backward to 3pm… Then we were being dropped off at the “Lu Xiang Guang Chang” at about 12.15pm… About 1pm, we went back to school to have our lunch after which went back to the bunk to rest and at 2.40pm we went straight to the classroom…
This afternoon lesson was quite short to us… As we just finished the notes of Chapter 3 and asked to hand in our Lab 3 + Tutorial 3 by tomorrow…
After lesson, we went to play a basketball game at about 6.45pm… The sky was so dark that we could not even see the light and so we called it a day… We went to have dinner at Canteen 2… After dinner some of us bought some fruits back to their bunk and then we went to one another bunk to play games…
Loser got to do some exercise on the spot and that was so much fun… After which, we went back to our bunk and have a shower, doing some assignment homework and that we turned off the light and went to bed to sleep…
I observed that even though they have lot of basketball courts situated in the school campus, yet they do not fully utilize the courts… After 7pm, the sky was so dark when we wanted to play about 3 matches but in the end we played only 2 matches… The sky really spoilt the day for me… As it caused us not able to see the ball then the game considered as bored le… I would like to suggest them is that- Why not they built some lamp posts around the court for the convenience of others? The next observation is to see any other pointers that they can improve themselves to make it a better environment for everyone to study…
